I always hated his "Bruno" character the most. It's by far the least funny of his three major personas, and it gets old much faster, which is saying something.
I'm guessing how some will spin this. But from the description of the scene, it sounds like most thoughtful viewers would see that Cohen is the one who is truly antagonistic toward homosexuals, by playing on a stereotype of not just flamboyance but inappropriate aggressiveness. It sounds like the Congressman handled it most politely.
That's big of him. I'd be pretty angry if someone, anyone, tried to forcibly keep me from leaving a room, and these particular circumstances would certainly make it worse. Most anyone would find the situation uncomfortable and even intolerable. Yet Ron kept his cool.
