State lawmaker (NC) pushes for smoking ban in public restaurants and bars. My favorite part of the article: Holliman said that businesses that have gone smoke-free have actually enjoyed an increase in patronage. Good thing we have politicians who know how to run businesses better than the owners! Those stupid owners surely weren't able to find a way to increase patronage on their own, but a politician with probably no real job experience has the answer. Of course, he doesn't bother providing proof or evidence to back up his statement.
