Writes Gary North to Burt Blumert:
Burt: You are the first person to see this. My dad was your loyal fan.
Writes Burt Blumert to Gary North:
Your father was an elegant gentleman. I worry that this country may not see the likes of Sam North again.Sam’s life covered a “golden age”: respect for others, good manners, honor, grace, pride of craft. Your dad didn’t have to think about any of it. He simply lived that way. Even the FBI he worked for had an actual law-enforcement role, against real crimes, as versus being largely an enforcer of the police state.

“I spoke with Ronald Hamowy yesterday and he was in despair, anticipating the human misery that will engulf us all soon. He summed it up by admitting his relief at being old and near the final chapters of his own life. I understand and share Ronald’s feelings.
It seems right that your dad, too, in his final days was witness to the disintegration of the corrupt and evil system, an event that you predicted over the decades.
Lew says about the crisis, “Being right is overrated,” but I trust Sam had a small smile watching these power-driven mad dogs suffering one humiliation after another.
Gary, it would be an honor if you allow me to share a little bit of your grief at losing your father.
