Let's see: 1) offer to make slavery permanent constitutionally, if only the feds get their taxes; 2) wage an aggressive war to collect those taxes; 3) free the slaves in areas that did not pay taxes, but not in areas that did; 4) kill hundreds of thousands; 5) suspend habeus corpus; 6) hold secret trials, imprisonments, and executions for dissidents; 7) close opposition media and jail editors; 8) inaugurate a draft; 9) tax income and estates in addition to vastly increasing tariff taxes; 10) steal an election; 11) use a religion you despise to bolster your dictatorial powers; 12) destroy the original republic and its constitution; 13) become a god.
