Writes a friend:
My brother attends [a public university] and he shared with me an interesting event. He attended a special poll for extra credit for his communication class that was funded by the DHS. In this session, he was asked to review a “news footage” clip. He was given a dial to turn up if he thinks what he is seeing is believable and down if it is unbelievable. The footage was set similar to a press conference with a “CDC scientist” wearing a lab coat (!) announcing that there has been a Salmonella breakout. The scientist reports that there have been casualties and that the culprit is a “terrorist” who has “disappeared”.After the viewing, he was asked a number of questions that included: “How did [insert part of the clip] affect you?”, “What was your reaction to [this clip]?”, and so on. I imagine they are offering similar things in other universities. Have you heard? Anyway, this is a bit frightening.
