Taking the Blumert Test

Writes Brian Engle:

I was going to keep this to myself until I read one of the last segments, "A Lutheran (02) with German roots (02), a software programmer (02) who contributes to the Mises Institute (02) reared in Mobile, Alabama (02). Score: 10. The sort of fellow who should be guiding a troop of Boy Scouts."

I'm a software programmer (02), local volunteer (02), reared in NC (02), with German roots (02), and no (current) religious affiliation (00?). Score: 8. In itself not all that ironic. What caused me to write is that I am indeed a leader for the local Cub Scouts. Spooky.

In fact, I've even joked with some worried parents about trying not to corrupt their children with radical free thinking in the same manner as my son (who proudly mentions during our "citizenship" activity that "my dad refuses to vote for the lesser of two criminals").

Here's The Test from Burt Blumert's funny and wise new book.
