According to the report, the owner claimed that the sheriff’s department’s position was that the dog was trying to attack the police officer. However, when the dog owner’s revealed that the shooting had been caught on tape, the government’s story changed and she was offered money to keep quiet and not show the video. Thankfully she did not comply.
