LRC: a Good Education

Writes George Lindholm:

Just wanted to say thanks for all your great work on your site. For the past year I’ve been getting a really good education on history, war, central banking, etc. I was an econ major back in the day and it’s so true that Keynesianism is taught as the Gospel in most universities (as evidenced by everyone just going along with this stupid bailout). With all of this new interest in Austrian economics that I have, I’m half-tempted to go back to grad school in Econ so I can teach at the university level and be one more voice of reason crying in the wilderness.

Listening to you and Scott Horton discuss these issues on his show the other day, I was really impressed with both of your knowledge of American history, presidents, etc. I still have a LOT to learn.

Anyway, your comment about William Henry Harrison being your favorite president because he died in office after less than a month is one of the funniest things I’ve heard in a long time.
