Last year it was von Rumsfeld. Before that, V.D. Hanson. This year it's John Bolton, one of the neocons who was instrumental in lying us into the war in Iraq. According to his Wikipedia entry, Bolton joined the Maryland National Guard rather than go to war in Vietnam when it was his time to "serve." He claims that, several years before the war ended, when he was still a teenager, he knew that the U.S. military would not prevail and he didn't want to join in a lost cause. Today, however, he's willing to send thousands of young Americans to their death in that sure thing, the war in Iraq.

This is just a wild guess, but the Claremont Institute must get A LOT of money from defense contractors.
