A conservative writer and friend writes: "It wasn't ten minutes into her interview that Sarah Palin declared her hawkism, and of the crudest sort. Why the eagerness to send their own sons to war 6,000 miles away to fight and die? I see a true pathology at work in many friends on the Right, if that's what we're calling it. I mean deep pathological bloodlust. How else to explain things? When you want NATO not only in the North Atlantic but in the South Pacific, what else to call you but either a moron or a warmonger? Newt wants it on Mars, too, so at least she's better than Newt."
