Third-Party Update

Antiwar Green party candidate Cynthia McKinney is interviewed in Newsweek. She goes over her top priorities and says the LP has reached out to her several times this year, and hints that there will be more 'mutual reaching."

LP nominee Bob Barr is interviewed on FOX about the Fannie-Freddie bailout, which he seems to endorse. CNET's libertarian star Declan McCullagh writes about Barr and the geek vote, as well as Barr and the Ron Paul vote.

Independent candidate Ralph Nader welcomes colleague, not competitor, McKinney: "We are not competing for votes, but instead we are allies joined in a common struggle to tap the huge and growing numbers of millions of unsatisfied voters who want to vote for something better than the lesser of two-evils."

The Ohio Constitution party files 12,000 signatures to get Chuck Baldwin on the ballot as an Independent.
