I know that Bob Barr supporters consider some of my criticisms to be too philosophical and abstract, but here’s a practical consideration: There are many voters out there who will write in Ron Paul. They will probably not be counted, but I can imagine hundreds of thousands of people out there writing in Ron Paul, dissatisfied with all the other choices. If Barr doesn’t want to lose more uncounted votes to Paul than he gains from disaffected conservatives, he needs to move more toward the libertarian stand on some key issues.
