Sick Logic

Writes Joe: “I don’t even know where to begin with the multiple levels of straight faced, unblinking absurdity and evil that Gate’s congressional testimony contained. Please read. Maybe worth sharing with your readers.

“Here’s the sick logic:

1) strange brown people who don’t matter are captured or kidnapped and taken to Gitmo for no reason
2) we are unable to prove or charge them with any crime after 7 years
3) no one wants them back, presumably because we have labeled them ‘terrorists’, whatever the hell that means
4) so now we have ‘no idea’ what to do with them? Then one of our most ‘liberal’ senators, Ms. Feinstein, states that the best she can come up with is to move them to a maximum security US federal prison! Charged with what?!? Then she states ‘we can’t have two systems of justice’!
“I don’t even know where to start to understand our subhuman ‘leaders’ in DC. Here’s some justice : How ’bout SET THEM FREE, give them US citizenship if they can’t go anywhere else, (why they would want it I don’t know) and give them each a million dollars for a nest egg to start. That might BEGIN to make up for the evil that has been perpetrated against these fellow humans in the name of political forces far beyond their control.

“By the way I am a 1987 Naval Academy graduate. I am ashamed beyond words at the moral cowardice of our flag officers, starting at the top with ADM Mullen, Chairman JCS, and Senator McCain. This is NOT what we were taught at Annapolis. I seem to remember learning about choosing to do ‘the hard right’ versus ‘the easy wrong’. How easily they forget the lessons of their youth.

“I supppose I am a cynic but I believe this evil Empire will simply have to run its ugly, brutal course before the Pain ends. Ron Paul’s unsuccessful campaign has shown me that Amerikans don’t want the truth. Will it end with economic collapse? Who knows. I just doubt a political solution will wrest power from DC all the way down to our local police forces. Even our corporations and especially financial and communication companies are just willing accomplices, or are threatened with legal and financial ruin at the point of a gun if they don’t play along.

“Thanks for listening. Have to vent. The last few years in Amerika have helped me truly to understand what the phrase ‘breaking my heart’ means. I look around me at my neighbors and fellow Americans and wonder why no one else seems concerned about the evil being done in our names. Thankfully I have a wife who sees the world in the same way.”
