DC Honors MLK–Its Way

Martin Luther King was at least right about US militarism and wars. So how is he honored on the anniversary of his murder? Writes a friend from the ominous US Capitol: “You just can’t make this stuff up! The first thing you saw were about 20 US flags across the stage, in the fascisti formation so typical today, then a fully armed military color guard marched in, then someone sang the warlike national anthem, then the US Army band performed, ending with the bloodthirsty ‘Battle Hymn of the Republic.’ State-worship and militarism – the Washington way to remember the anti-war MLK!”
