There seems to be a coordinated establishment campaign to have the feds take over autism care. This is a horrible disease, and as the father of an adopted mentally challenged daughter, I know first hand about the expenses, etc. But why should other people be forced to pay for them? One reason might be Big Pharma's role in the autism epidemic through mercury in its state-mandated vaccines. Bush has sought to shield Big Pharma, a favorite Republican interest group, from liability. Pay no attention to that, nor to the persecuted physicians who help some of these kids by getting rid of the mercury. Listen only to GE's vice chairman, on MSNBC this morning, calling for more state coercion and more state redistribution for autism. If it must be so, Mr. Vice, how about also cutting the federal death budget, so much of which flows to GE and you?
