Re the Aegis cruiser: One of my students, who's a Navy officer, was on the ship that came in to port somewhere in the Middle East behind the Navy ship just after it had shot the Iranian airliner down. He told me that when they got on shore, a lot of the enlistees on the Aegis cruiser went and had T-shirts made, that they wore proudly, with a picture of an Iranian jetliner being shot down and lots of men, women, and children falling out. Ho, ho."
