For months the major media have ignored Ron Paul as much as possible, and they have especially done so for the past six weeks or so. When he announces he’s not going to run as a third-party candidate, thus (to the media’s great relief) pretty much taking himself out of the race, suddenly they decide it’s significant enough to write an entire story on it and to make it one of the top stories on MSNBC and feature it, as of 10:22 EST, as one of the headlines (in boldface!) on MSN.com.
