Looking at the exit polls, Paul did very well among younger voters. With the under 40 vote, Paul finished in third place. But in the over 40 vote, he was in a distant fifth. Looking at Obama’s disappointing performance, it is clear that young people did not show up to vote — hurting both Paul and Obama.
