The Pill-Pushin' Corporatist State

I came across this shameless ad online today while reading the New York Times. Note how this condescending rubbish is very clear in its ultimate message: you can lower your cholesterol by making lifestyle changes, however, Big Pharma's drugs are the "best way" to do so. BEST WAY is very precise in its meaning. The ad is telling you that it's not up to you to improve your health and life via small efforts, knowledge, and self-control - it's best to just shut down your brain and pop the pills pushed on you via the drug-pushing corporatocracy. This hooey is the result of living in a time and place where self-ownership is quashed, and being controlled and directed by others is the accepted norm. Unfortunately, people will read this ad, and, as a result, they will seek out others to tell them what to do before they try to help themselves.
