The Movement Is Everywhere!

On New Year's Eve, four friends of mine (all Paulians) and I went to the famous Fillmore in San Francisco to see Les Claypool's eighteenth annual New Year's show. The opening act, Madame Blavatsky Overdrive, was quite good — a progressive pop band, of sorts – and then one of them strummed a guitar and sang a song to usher in the New Year, mostly a somewhat sardonic reflection on 2007. One couplet of lines early in the tune caught my attention: it was something along the lines of: "Presidential candidates, I'm sick of them all/ I'm thinking of voting for Ron Paul."
