Ron Paul and Spending

Media hacks seem dumbfounded by Ron Paul's idea that cutting government spending from trillions per year back to much smaller sums is, somehow, "unrealistic." A little bit of research on their part - assuming any of them do this anymore, instead of just relying on government press releases - might inform them that, in either 1962 or 1963, John F. Kennedy submitted, to Congress, a proposed budget of $99.9 billion, because he didn't want to be the first president to have a $100 billion budget. As I recall, Kennedy had funding for national defense, welfare, and all the other programs the federal trough-feeders insist upon!
