Ron Paul and the Clueless Congress

Here’s a secret about our rulers: virtually no senior bureaucrat in DC is online, just as, in the day, none of them would have thought of touching a typewriter’s keyboard. That’s what secretaries are for, think our pea-brained dinosaurs.

That’s true of US reps and sens too (Ron Paul being one of the few exceptions).

Since the moneybomb especially, senior congressmen have been chatting Ron up on the floor. Recently, he was asked for the first time to address the republican chiefs of staff who run congressional offices. They had the same questions as the congressmen.

What firm did you hire to raise this money? What strategist planned it for you? What mysterious technology did you use?

The premise: if only Ron would come clean, Congressman Schmuck could raise $4.3 million on November 5th, (and more than twice that on December 16th).

Our out-of-it rulers in DC fear the internet, and rightly so. They are also monumentally ignorant of it, and of the Ron Paul revolution that approaches them inexorably.

What are those distant sounds?, Louis XVI might have asked Marie Antoinette.
