As of 2:00 AM Eastern, Ron Paul has raised over $240,000 since midnight. Yes, that's $240,000 in two hours. Since I started writing this, he has raised over $20,000 more. Okay, now it's at $270,000. Now it's at $290,000.

So there must be few millionaires who are illegally "spamming" the donation page of Ron Paul's website, right? Well, no. Between midnight and now there have been 2,127 different people who browsed to RonPaul2008.com and made a donation. Okay, make that 2,174 donors. Now it's 2,282. The numbers are increasing rapidly with no signs of slowing down.

This is all part of a plan orchestrated by the folks at ThisNovember5th.com. Over 17,000 people have pledged to donate at least $100 so far through the site. Many participants have expressed intent to donate more, which means that Ron Paul will likely be raising over $2 Million in a single day. I don't think anyone has an idea how far this will go before the end of the day.
