I am not a fan of Vladimir Putin, despite his tax cuts. His genocidal GWOT policies in Chechnya are enough to condemn him. But he is exactly right in opposing US aggression against Iran. The neocons condemn him, of course (a sure sign of his being right), but Americans might think of this: Iran is Russia’s neighbor. If a globally hegemonic Russia threatened to nuke an alleged “nuclear program” in Mexico, would the US have a right to be concerned?
