White evangelical Protestants threaten to run their own presidential candidate if Giuliani is nominated. I'd be all for it, in that case, since it would make it easier for an independent antiwar candidate.

But I don't believe these folks. All they want is more patronage, and a Huckabee figure as vice president. That and continued war, imperialism, and tyranny, their true religion.
