Congress Shall Make No Law . . . Unless You Are Criticizing the Government

“The top Republican on the House oversight committee yesterday called for an investigation into possible elections violations by the New York Times for selling an advertisement to the liberal group MoveOn.org at a reduced rate,” reports the Washington Times.

Not only that, but the American Conservative Union “filed a complaint last week with the Federal Election Commission against the Times and MoveOn, contending the discount was illegal.”

Meanwhile, Giuliani, in response to the MoveOn.org ad, bought an anti-Hillary ad in the New York Times for the same rate as MoveOn.org. Why doesn’t this count as an illegal political contribution, too?

We just can’t have the “wrong” people exercising their right to free speech, now, can we?
