The Values Voter Presidential Debate is scheduled for next Monday, September 17, in Fort Lauderdale. WorldNetDaily’s Joseph Farah is to be the moderator, and he’s upset that the “big four” GOP candidates–McCain, Romney, Giuliani, and Thompson–have all declined to appear. He is “particularly disappointed in Thompson,” whom he apparently views as the best candidate, sort of conservative and firmly pro-war.
The debate participants are Duncan Hunter, Mike Huckabee, Tom Tancredo, Sam Brownback, Ron Paul, and John Cox (who?).
ValuesVoter.org, which is sponsoring the debate, is also soliciting questions for the candidates at this email address: f2ainfo@f2a.org. It should prove interesting if only for the fact that the smaller number of candidates ought to mean each one gets more time to speak. In addition, there should be a greater variety of topics. Plus, some of the things the group desires are of dubious constitutionality and certainly un-libertarian, so Ron Paul’s responses to questions about those subjects are likely to spark some controversy once again.
