re: “We’re All Neocons Now”

Max Boot is being dishonest (again) when he calls Ron Paul an “isolationist.” He knows full well that Ron has said over and over that he is not an isolationist; that he would never oppose a defensive war; that he voted in favor of going after bin Laden in Afghanistan; and that he would refocus our military efforts to actually finding bin Laden and his terrorist gang as opposed to invading and occupying a country that had nothing at all to do with 9/11.

He would administer a foreign policy that defends America, in other words, rather than one that creates endless enemies for us and makes another terrorist attack more likely. He believes that the purpose of government is to protect the lives, liberties and property of its citizens and not to attempt to conquer the rest of the world and remake it in our image. He also thinks Thomas Jefferson is a better role model for America than Dr. Stangelove.

This of course is pure poison in the mind of every neocon like Max Boot.
