In response to my blog on Mike Adams' method for protecting your luggage from the TSA's super-sticky fingers, Michael Gay sent this article. It advises turning the TSA's regs against it by packing a starter pistol in every bag you check. The TSA in its infinite paranoia deems even these noisemakers "weapons." Ergo, that cheap little gun and its blanks transmute your bag into a lethal threat, one the TSA requires you to declare to your carrier. The airline must then track your suitcase lest the pistol decide to load itself and announce the beginning of a race. All that extra scrutiny insures that not only will your bag reach its destination rather than disappearing enroute, but that it will also arrive with your belongings intact.
