..."Thank a Republican." Actually, the bumper sticker I saw today said to thank a Democrat, but it is Republicans who should be thanked for Social Security—and for Medicare. They say they oppose welfare programs and socialized medicine but when they controlled the government for over four years under Bush they did absolutely nothing to abolish or take any steps to end these unconstitutional programs. And Republicans are the greatest supporters of Social Security and Medicare. Just listen to Romney and Ryan.
Republicans are at their best when they are the opposition party and at their worst when they have total control of the government. (And, of course, their best is not all that good.)
