I've blogged before about the Diabetes Warrior, Steve Cooksey, a paleo blogger who has been under attack from the Nutrition Nazis in North Carolina for daring to write about food choices and health matters on his own blog without the appropriate government "license." Journalist Sara Burrows reports:
A federal judge has thrown out Paleo-diet blogger Steve Cooksey’s lawsuit against the North Carolina state agency he claims censored his blog and violated his freedom of speech.
U.S. District Court Judge Max Coburn agreed with the North Carolina Board of Dietetics/Nutrition that Cooksey has no grounds to sue because he has not been injured yet.
Cooksey was singled out for government harassment and censorship of his writing on his own blog, that he owns, and that censorship somehow did not cause him harm and thus he has no grievance. And since the government had not forced him into censorship (he was only threatened), he was said to have silenced himself. You can't make that stuff up.
