The Brits are banning best friends. British school teachers are encouraged to discourage children from having a "best" friend so that the children don't have to deal with "the pain of splitting up from their best friend."
Instead, the primary pupils are being encouraged to play in large groups. [Of course, what this is really about is the denigration of individualism in favor of collectivism. Eventually, we'll all be part of one big group overseen by a One World Government.]
Gaynor Sbuttoni said..."But it is natural for some children to want a best friend. If they break up, they have to feel the pain because they're learning to deal with it."
We all know who any government really wants people to believe is their best friend: the government.
Why stop with banning children from having a best friend because of the pain of splitting up? Since Britain has the highest divorce rate in Europe, the Brits should ban monogamous marriages where, usually, the spouses are each other's best friend. I'm all for polygamy. Yeah, Baby!
