During the primaries, when it was clear that he had done all he could do, Ron Paul went back to Washington to continue his work. Many, MANY vilified him for not filing a (certainly failing) independent bid for the White House. I think it’s clear that Paul made the right decision, not by chance, but by his own shrewdness: he knew darn well what he had started was just gaining momentum and that his most important work — and real success — was still to come.
