After reading Anthony Gregory's fine piece today on James W. Von Brunn, I then turned to the New York Times, and Paul Krugman did not disappoint. Yes, it seems that the REAL threat to this country is people who do not have Krugman's point of view. Remember, this is the NYT, which in the Duke Lacrosse, Martha Stewart and Michael Milken cases wrote in favor of destroying much of the Bill of Rights, but those (like us who think the Fed is bad) who even question what the Obama administration is doing are threatening this fine country.
Krugman gives all of the usual canards, such as Fox News and Bill O'Reilly are responsible for what happened at the Holocaust Museum and the murder of George Tiller in Kansas. Oh, yes, and that infamous Department of Homeland Security Report apparently was, in Krugman's words, "prescient." As for the swine flu hype? Well, anyone who thinks that this is yet another attempt by the authorities to be able to push people around is just something from the "black helicopter crowd." No doubt, he thinks that any of us who believe the TSA is much better at bullying and threatening people than protecting airline travelers are of the "black helicopter" variety. And no doubt, anyone who posts at LRC automatically thinks there are black helicopters in our backyards.
