The Brilliance of Barney Frank

As Barney Frank pushes for legislation that allows him and the rest of the bubbleheads in government to take over the financial system, he seems to regress in terms of intelligence, if that is even possible. Here's Frank on the subprime mortgage crisis: "Why did people make those bad loans? Because they could," he said. Yes, they could, but Barney, back up and ask "Why could they make those loans?" His other bit of wisdom: "If only banks made mortgage loans, there would be no crisis."

Another example of why we will never recapture liberty and free markets through the political process. Yet people still insist -- "call your congressman!"
