Ron was the star of the Morning Joeys today. It was a cage match on the economy. They'd throw one Keynesian guy at Ron, and when the guy was beaten, they'd throw another Keynesian, and another. Ron was superb, even by Paulian standards. He wielded the empire, the Fed, Greenspan, fractional-reserve banking, and other unmentionables against the economic ignoramuses. I'll post the YouTube of his victory soon.

Did you see the morning Joeys attack Ron Paul when they signed off right before 9am? The panel is given the chance to say what they learned today and two of them used this time to attack Ron. One of them said that "Ron Paul has no answers," and another said that "Ron Paul wants 20% unemployment." Disgusting.

Dr. Paul was brilliant today, as you affirmed. He likely would wave off any likeness to the Old Testament prophets, but his career is becoming strikingly similar to theirs. While he relies solely upon wisdom gained from personal experience and the study of Austrian economics (as opposed to Divine inspiration), he is on record predicting these cataclysmic events years ago (he predicted recession/depression, he predicted the blowback from our interventionism, and, to my ambitious and ignorant former governor's face, predicted the GOP would go down in flames in 2008. The Morning Joeys tried every trick they could muster, from making Ron look "kooky," to portraying him as advocating 20% unemployment and every American bridge crumbling. He parried every blow; he forbade them from blaming the private sector or deregulation, but correctly called to account the real culprits--Greenspan and his disciples.

That video of Ron on Morning Joe was great. The really funny thing about it is that you can tell that everybody knows that Ron is right.

Ron is saying, as gently as he can, "The econony is sick and we have to take our medicine in order to get better. There are no other shortcuts to a healthy recovery." But all these people can focus on is "Medicine!?! YUCK!!! GROSS!!! It'll taste disgusting! You're not really saying we have to take it!! We don't want to take and we're not going to!! And if it tastes as bad as we think it will we are going blame you forever!!!!" It's like a bunch of three year olds.
