This morning on CNN, Wolf Blitzer asked Mitt Romney if he stood with the Israelis or the Palestinians in the Gaza fighting. I know you are on tenterhooks waiting to hear his answer, as I was. He said he sided with the Israelis. He also said that Gaza had had “sovereignty,” but had bought rockets rather than build schools, etc. Well, all military spending is evil, including the US’s, Israel’s, Egypt’s, and Hamas’s. As to “sovereignty,” Israel maintained total control over the Gaza borders and airspace, with the help of US puppet Egypt. No trade or travel was allowed unless approved by the Israeli military and directed through Israeli firms, and it approved very little. Of course, Gaza – like the still militarily occupied West Bank – should have “sovereignty,” the freedom to trade with all.
