The Precious Right Not To Vote

Writes Lance Adams:

I'm 20 years old and a political science major at UAB. I started reading your website in 2006 and after John McCain secured the Republican nomination, I started seriously considering your stand on not voting. I decided it was just not worth it anymore. I'll continue to vote occasionally against taxes or in local elections where a few votes can make a difference, but I will never vote to give someone the immense power that is illegitimately vested in the Presidency.

It's funny, I wanted to vote for president my entire life and now that I am able to cast my ballot, I am willingly choosing to sit home on election day.
