Piling on Palin

Bill, your point is well taken. I’d rather be governed by the average American than by Tugwell and FDR, too. But Palin was being trumpeted as the greatest thing American politics had seen in years, and my point is simply that when you ask her a simple question on a subject you’d think anyone with her stated views would know a little something about (without even having to rely on the talking points she apparently neglected to memorize), you get answers that amount to nothing. Zero.

UPDATE: Izzy Lyman writes: “In fact, I can think of a dozen homeschool moms, who are just quietly doing their thing, who could have given a waaay better answer than Sarah’s. Not just to that question, but some of the others posed by Katie Couric. And those moms wouldn’t require teleprompters or handlers to help them out, either!”
