Obama had a pastor with some rather intelligent things to say about the history of U.S. government atrocities against natives, minorities and foreigners. Palin is connected to secessionists. Far from being liabilities, these associations are among the most attractive things about them. If only such anti-imperialist virtues rubbed off and were able to withstand the corruption of U.S. power.
