Right after endorsing a trillion dollar bailout of Wall Street, McCain points out that Obama supported hundreds of millions of dollars in earmarks. These guys should be slapped for every minute they waste arguing over drops in the bucket.

Of course, McCain also attacked a measly one million dollar Woodstock museum as an example of Clintonian overspending. You could finance a MILLION such museums for the cost of a McCainian war or bailout.

This is just pathetic. Real fiscal conservatives follow Ron Paul’s lead: The worst entitlements are to the military-industrial complex and corporatism. They should be cut first, if anything should be cut first.

Update: Now McCain says we need a spending freeze on everything except defense and entitlements. Uh, okay. So keep the warfare-welfare state growing as usual and cut. . . what exactly?
