Since you’re making personnel changes, how about turning the Rachel Maddow Show into the Rachel and Pat Show? When Buchanan was on the initial episode last night, it was electric. I am a fan of Rachel’s, and maybe she will flower as a lone performer, but at the least, make Pat a regular guest.
And I can’t believe I used to like Keith Olbermann, though I still watch him sometimes. When he refused to have Ron Paul as a guest, or even mention his name, we saw just how much of an anti-war guy Keith is, as versus a pure partisan. But his anti-Christianism is really tiring. How many times do we need a yuck-fest on the alleged discovery of an image of the Lord on a piece of toast, or whatever? Then last night he made nasty and endless fun of the pentacostal beliefs of Sarah Palin. They’re not my views either, but come on! And since we know that Keith would never ridicule the faith of certain groups – and rightly so – why should rural, working-class Protestants be fair game?
Keith, you were right about the vicious attacks against the Rev. Dr. Jeremiah Wright, so what is this? And don’t you media types realize that by attacking Palin in this fashion, you only increase the Republicans’ margin? The monster McCain, I am sorry to say, will be the next president. But don’t make it a landslide.
