The Realities of a Flu Epidemic

Among many of the things that we are supposed to fear, and therefore dedicate large sums of taxpayer money towards, is a flu epidemic. It turns out that during the 1918 pandemic, most people died from pneumonia infections, not the flu virus itself. Pneumonia, a bacteria, is now treated with antibiotics that were not yet discovered in 1918.
