If this report is sound, the Kentucky Libertarian Party might want to vet their candidates a little better and improve their internal education on libertarian principles. I'm not sure if the party was starstruck, as it often easily is, but perhaps by nominating Sonny Landham for the US Senate, they were hoping to have the third successful politician to come from the movie Predator (along with Jesse Ventura and Arnold Schwarzenegger). But here is what he reportedly said regarding oil prices:

He wants to release oil from the strategic oil reserve, drill in areas of the U.S. currently off-limits to the oil companies and then try to persuade OPEC to cut the price of oil. What if it doesn't?

"We should go and bomb those camel-dung shovelers back into the sand," Landham said. "I said 'camel-dung shovelers.' Make sure you put that in the newspaper."
