Cato Endorses Fannie/Freddie Bailout

Cato’s Thomas Firey, managing editor of Regulation magazine, was interviewed by my pal Ron Smith on WBAL Radio in Baltimore today on the subject of the Fannie/Freddie bailout. He said the creation of these bureaucratic beasts during the 1930s was a godsend, and that the only thing worse than the bailout would be the absence of a bailout.
