Totalitarian Toddler Thought and Taste Police, UK Division

A three-year-old saying "yuk" when confronted with unfamiliar foreign and spicy foods is now a cause for concern to the British government, which is on the look out for "potentially-racist attitudes" in young children.

Britain's paternalistic institutions used to have a more sensible way with dealing with children who don't want to eat something icky. They would just point out, "If you don't eat your meat, you can't have any pudding! How can you have any pudding if you don't eat your meat?" But now, a little kid not wanting to eat some curry or Kung Pao is showing signs of racism. Thanks to Wayne Pugh for the link.
