“Bureau of Competition”

Who knew that the FTC had a Bureau of Competition and that the Department of Commerce had an Office of Antiboycott Compliance!

The Bureau of Competition “seeks out and challenges anticompetitive conduct in the marketplace, including monopolization and agreements between competitors.” But they don’t apply this to the state! It also “promotes competition in industries where consumer impact is high, such as health care, real estate, oil & gas, technology, and consumer goods.” Funny that those sectors just happen to be some of the most regulated.
