Marketplace's April 1st program included this story about the IRS sending air conditioners and toasters in lieu of checks for the economic stimulus. It's so believable, that it makes me wonder when, not if, it will come true. Just like how we used to joke about the government going after unhealthy foods the way they were going after cigarettes...naw - that would never happen!
