Higgs on Iraq, Afghanistan; Announcing the Beacon Blog

Posted by Anthony Gregory at March 31, 2008 01:03 PM

Robert Higgs has a wonderful addendum to his article "Truncating the Antecedents," in which he slams "a litany of U.S. outrages, from the overthrow of an elected Iranian government in 1953, to unconditional support for repeated Israeli aggressions and land grabs, to the present military occupations of Afghanistan and Iraq" — and points out that, despite all that, "the Bush administration would have people believe that we freedom-loving, peace-loving, ever-generous Americans were simply sitting here minding our own business when, for no comprehensible reason, we were attacked by crazed Arabs intent on martyrdom."

Read the rest. And here's a good opportunity to announce the new Independent Institute blog, the Beacon, which features Higgs, Peter Klein, Jonathan Bean, David Theroux, David Beito, me and many others.
