Thanks to Ralph Raico for this picture of a laughing Bush and McCain made up of the photos of the 4,000 US dead in Iraq. It comes from the Huffington Post, which would never assemble such a mosaic of Hillary and Pelosi, though that would be appropriate too.
Just as no one builds a wall in DC for, or even remembers, the 3-4 million Vietnamese dead, no one does a mosaic, or even remembers, the hundreds of thousands of Iraqi dead. Huffington notes that the dead “sacrificed everything for us.” I am sure that is what the enlisted people think, and probably the junior officers too. But invading and occupying a foreign country for the US empire does not help “us,” anymore than the deaths of these young people does. Of course, some are helped: the generals, the politicians, the merchants of death, and the rest of the power elite. None of them die in Iraq, however.
